Shining Feather Brush Basins |

It is time to put an end to Buying brushes because your brush basin has worn them out!
Are you tired of replacing your favorite brushes???
There are lots of brush basins on the market, many made by brush companies.
I bet you are using one now!
The companies offer their basins telling you that the plastic groves in the bottom of the basin will aid in cleaning your expensive brushes while preserving them!!!
WRONG! WRONG! WRONG!
Even those cute little heart shaped brush scrubbers are horrible! The word Brush and "scrubber" does not go together!
They all actually damage the brush...........so why do they sell them???
Interesting thought isn't it? We trust them because they make the brushes but if they made Sharon's brush basin they would stop selling so many brushes!
So to them it makes perfect sense. Sell us a basin that wears out our brushes and they make more money because we buy more brushes!!!
Let's put an end to this nasty cycle!!!
In the early 90's Sharon got so tired of seeing her favorite brushes end up looking all worn out and frayed and having to buy new ones that she started looking for a way to solve her problem, after many, many tries she finally got the right one!
She developed her studio basin with 3 separate compartments. Two with specialty imported, delicate, soft cleaning brushes in the bottom to thoroughly clean all the paint from your brushes. One compartment for clean water only so you always have that at hand.
Simply swish your brush over the tiny cleaning bristles and watch your dirty brush come out like new! You can paint all day and never change your water. The paint collects in the bottom by the cleaning brushes. So the water stays fresher, longer.
You will see your brushes come out cleaner and in better condition than you ever experienced!
Sharon's basin is the best way to clean your brushes and keep them in good shape at the same time saving you money!
The soft bristles will NEVER damage
your brushes. They will gently remove all of the paint from your
brushes and keep them like new.
Don't settle for the cheap imitations....Get the Real Deal here!
To prove her point Sharon purchased every basin and cute
scrubber on the market and tested them all....guess what? They all failed! They either didn't clean the brushes and/or they damaged the bristles.
Once you see how this basin performs and how much you can save you will never want to be without it!

Before you use your basin rinse with cool water to remove any particles left by manufacturing process. WARNING Never use warm or hot water in your basin even when you clean it and always store your basin at room temp or below. Heat causes the cleaning brushes to come loose and once they do it is hard to re-glue them. Our glue is especially designed for the composition of the plastics in the basin and scrub brushes, we have tried to re-glue them with our glue but we can’t even do it. If this happens to you, you can try to re-glue with a strong epoxy. It may work and it may not
Let the basin drain upside down when you have finished for the day, do not let it sit with water for days on end. To clean your basin, soak in cleaner 409, or Alcohol overnight. For oils soak in Turpenoid Natural. Then use an old brush to scrub between the soft scrub bristles. Scrub the sides of the basin with a little bit of cleanser, rinse thoroughly with cold water. The Soft Scrub Bristles will stain, but they will keep working. You can try using a bit of cleanser on them to remove most of the "gunk".

Fill each compartment
with COLD water. Reserve the small compartment without the Soft Scrub
Bristles for your clean water source.
To clean your brush
gently swish the brush against the Soft Scrub Bristles in the small
compartment first to remove most of the color and then repeat this in
the large compartment to remove the remaining paint. You will now have
a clean brush ready for the next color.
If you forget and leave
your brush in the basin the Soft Scrub Bristles will support your
brush bristles so they won’t end up bent and out of shape.
Empty all the dirty water out of the basin and place it in the sink with the larger compartment directly under the faucet. Let COLD water run continuously in this compartment. Fill the small area with the bristles, with Cold water and a small amount of mild dish detergent.
Swish your dirty brush in the soapy solution first and then rinse in the large compartment under the running water. Repeat this 2-3 time until your brush is completely clean. Re-shape your brush and lay flat to dry on paper towel, never put in it in a container on it's end as the water will run down into the bristles and the handle will come loose.
To test to see if your
brush is clean, apply a small amount of soap in the palm of your and
gently work into the bristles, squeeze it at the ferrule, if the suds
are clear you brush is clean.
To clean you Soft Stroke
Brush Basin with COLD water only . Soak the basin with alcohol or 409
overnight, use a small brush to remove the paint from around the Soft
Stroke Bristles, dry upside down so the water will drain out.
If you are using it for oil paints NEVER use any substance like Regular Turpenoid or turpentine in the basin. You can only use an oil cleaner like Canola Oil Or Turpenoid Natural. Once you have finished you can drain off the cleaner and let it stand in a bottle until the paint sediment settles on the bottom, then you can carefully pour it off and re-use it. Canola oil is one of the best and safest cleaners you can use.
WITH PROPER CARE YOUR BASIN WILL LAST FOR YEARS. THE ONLY THING THAT WILL DAMAGE IT IS THE TEMPERATURE OF THE WATER. IF YOU FORGET AND USE HOT WATER CAUSING THE SOFT SCRUB BRUSHES TO COME LOOSE, DRY THOROUGHLY AND TRY TO RE-GLUE WITH A STRONG EPOXY GLUE.
